Tance Max Kit by Eleaf Review

The Tance Max pod system is quite different from other pod systems from Eleaf. The design of the Tance Max is chubby yet comfortable enough to hold and carry around. It is marketed as a mouth-to-lung vape although you can get a direct lung hit from it. The device comes with an adjustable airflow ring so you can customize your draw.

The market is saturated with pod systems, most of which seem to be copy-cats. The big question is if there is any room for a device like the Tance max.

Packaging Design and Contents

The Tance Max comes in a rectangular cardboard box. Inside the box, you will find these:

  • 1 X Tance Max Battery
  • 1 X Tance Max Cartridge (4ml non Eu compliant)
  • 1 X GS Air M 0.6ohm Head Mesh Kanthal (offering 8-20W output)
  • 1 X GS Air S 1.6ohm Head SS316L (Offering 6-10W output)
  • 1 X Type-C USB Cable
  • 1 X User Manual

Design and Build Quality

The Tance Max is made up of zinc-alloy. The device is slightly heavier, taller, and wider than an average pod system. The sides and bottom edges have a beveled chrome effect. On its sides are plastic panels that have a thinly etched mosaic effect which gives the battery an elegant look. All this adds to the aesthetics of the Tance Max and makes it very handy.

The Tance Max has a robust 1100mAh inbuilt battery, which is quite large for a pod system. The battery is recharged using the Type-C USB cable. The Type-C USB port is located at the bottom of the device. One of the major benefits of the Type-C USB is its speed. The battery can go from dead to fully charged within an hour.

On the face of the device, there is a rectangular button that allows an LED indicator to show. You need five clicks to power the Tance Max on/off, and a single click when you go in for a draw. The LED will illuminate the following ways during use:

  • Green when the battery is between 100-60%
  • Blue when the battery is between 59-20%
  • Red when the battery is 19% or lower
  • Continuous flashing of red when it is time to recharge

The Tance Max cartridge also serves as the mouthpiece of the device. It is made of a semi-transparent plastic mold, enabling you to see the current level of e-juice. The underside has female threading that allows you to insert your chosen coil type through the airflow control base. The cartridge uses a rotary sealing cap on its base. You simply have to rotate it in the indicated direction to open, and then refill it with your favorite e-juice – that simple.

At the top of the Tance Max device, three magnetic contacts connect the cartridge firmly. The docking is reversible, so there is no wrong way to insert the cartridge.

There are two airflow inlets, one on each side of the device, they are in direct contact the adjustable airflow rings of the coil, and they facilitate the device’s airy mouth-to-lung experience. Both coils work well, and do not give you spit backs while you vape.

Pros

  • 4ml Pod Capacity
  • Leak-Proof
  • Good Flavor Output
  • Long-Lasting Battery
  • Fast USB-C Charging

Cons

  • Open Airflow Reduces Flavour Output

The answer to the question earlier is yes! The Tance Max may be slightly larger, but it makes up for its bulkiness with its useful features. So if you are looking for a pod device with a lot of features, the Tance Max is a good option.

The Tance Max Kit is available at the Eleaf World online store for around $30.92-$36.80.
